Oswego County Opportunities’ Cancer Services Program Partnership To Make A Human Pink Ribbon

FULTON, NY – In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Oswego County Opportunities’ Cancer Services Program Partnership joined with a number of businesses this month to assist them in their efforts to raise awareness of breast cancer in Oswego County and encourage people to receive the cancer screenings they need.

The Cancer Services Program Partnership has been making appearances at these businesses to distribute information on the free mammograms and other cancer screening services that they offer and to sign eligible people up to receive their free screenings.

The Cancer Services Program Partnership’s efforts to raise awareness of breast cancer will culminate on Oct. 30 when they attempt to make the first human pink ribbon in Oswego County.

Coordinator of the Cancer Services Program Partnership, Carolyn Handville is asking community members to wear something pink and join them at 10 a.m. that day at the Price Chopper parking lot, 12 W. First St. South, to form the ribbon.

For more information, call Carolyn Handville at 315-342-0888, ext. 1455.
