Oswego Elks Lodge Empowers CiTi BOCES Fueling Futures Program with $2000 Gratitude Grant

OSWEGO – Oswego Elks Lodge #271 has utilized its Gratitude Grant to make a significant impact on the CiTi BOCES Fueling Futures program, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to community welfare. The $2000 grant has been aided in the purchase of essential food items, ensuring that CiTi students in Oswego County have reliable access to nutritious snacks and beverages throughout the school day, as well as during nights, weekends and school breaks.

Dr. Julie Landy, CiTi Director of Assessment, Professional Growth and Community Services Initiatives, expressed gratitude, saying, “We at CiTi BOCES are incredibly grateful to the Elks for their generous gift of the Gratitude Grant to our Fueling Futures program. Their contribution will go a long way in helping us provide nutritious snacks and meals to students in need. Thank you for your kindness and support!”

Fueling Futures, a collaborative initiative between the Weston T. Hyde Foundation and CiTi BOCES, relies entirely on funding from dedicated employees and corporate supporters, making the Oswego Elks’ contribution all the more crucial.

Brian Heffron, CiTi Administrator of Workforce Development & Community Relations, extended his thanks, stating, “Gratitude in abundance to the Oswego Elks for their generous donation to our food pantry program, extending a helping hand to local students battling food insecurity. Your kindness creates a ripple effect of nourishment, hope and community support. Thank you for making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.”
