Oswego Farmers’ Market To Feature Children’s Costume Parade

OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego Farmers’ Market continues Thursday with a special Halloween treat.

Area children and their parents can celebrate Halloween a little early this year by participating in the Children’s Costume Parade beginning at 6 p.m. at the market in downtown Oswego.

Children in costume, 12 and under will receive a free goodie bag of Halloween treats, while supplies last.

“The costume parade will be a real treat for the children,” said Farmers’ Market Coordinator, Gail Goebricher of the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce. “We also encourage the parents to dress up as well and make it a fun evening for the children.”

Local entertainer and musician, Larry Rapshaw will provide musical entertainment for the evening and lead the children in the costume parade.

Additional entertainment includes an appearance by Kountry Kousins Karaoke and a Tae Kwon Do demonstration.

Flowers By Mr. John is sponsoring the children’s parade and entertainment.

The market will come to a close on Oct. 9 with the final market taking place from 5 – 9 p.m. on West First Street.

The chamber would like to remind everyone that for the safety of the pet, as well as the general public, animals are prohibited from the market.
