OSWEGO – The Oswego Fire Department has been visiting with some local children at Oswego Bookmobile stops.
OFD personnel are spending some time in between emergency calls reading books to the kids and showing them the firefighting gear, tools and the firetrucks.
The firefighters do it while they are on duty and in between emergency calls.
The kids have a great time and so do the firefighters, according to an OFD spokesperson.
The kids learn a little about what the firefighters do and how to stay safe during emergencies.
