The rodeo will be held June 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot outside the Fulton War Memorial.

In case of rain, it will be held inside the nearby ice rink.

A number of refurbished bikes will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

There will also be drawings for several free new bikes, along with air hop rides, bike registrations, bike obstacles courses, food and more.

Oswego Health is providing trained staff at the event to properly fit the free bike helmets.

Youngsters can also have a helmet that is in use checked for a safe fit.
New York State law stipulates that those under the age of 14 must wear a helmet when riding a bike or scooter.

Along with ensuring youngsters are wearing properly fit helmets, various agencies will be on hand to provide safety programs and tips.

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department will provide child identification cards through its Operation Safe Child program and the Child Advocacy Center will provide information on how kids can be safe.

In addition, the Oswego County Traffic Safety Board will have its popular obstacle course available for those age two to five.

Members of the Fulton Police Department will have an obstacle course for older children and youths.

Kids can bring their own bikes or use one that will be available at the rodeo.

The Fulton Fire Department and Menter Ambulance Service will have trucks at the event for a close-up inside look at these emergency vehicles.

Representatives from Doyle’s Bike Shop will also be on hand to conduct bike safety checks.

Donating bikes are the Fulton Lions Club, Catholic Charities, Dunkin’ Donuts, the Fulton Alliance Church and the Fulton Fire Department.
