Along with providing comprehensive hearing and balance testing, Dr. Gottschalk is now fitting community members with hearing aids and cochlear implants.

“If after the completion of a hearing exam, a hearing loss is found and a patient will benefit from hearing aids/cochlear implants, I am able to properly fit them based on the severity of their hearing loss, with a style and look that they like,” Gottschalk said. “There are many attractive and small options available today.”

Dr. Gottschalk, of Oswego Health Audiology, earned her doctor of audiology degree at the University of Louisville and completed her residency at the University Hospitals Case Medical Center, in Cleveland, Ohio.

She also holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-A) from the American Speech and Hearing Association.

Throughout her schooling, she took part in extensive training in all aspects of audiology, allowing her to offer comprehensive hearing and balance services.

The Ask The Doctor Forum is a free presentation that is open to the public and is sponsored by the Oswego Health Community Development Office.

It is designed to create an open dialogue between health care providers/professionals and interested members of the greater Oswego County community.

GS Steamers is located at 70 E. First St, in Oswego.
