Oswego Health Offers Seminars on Smoking Cessation

OSWEGO, NY – In preparation of the Oswego Hospital campus going smoke free on Nov. 20, employees and community members who would like learn more about how to quit smoking are invited to take part in a free hospital-sponsored smoking cessation program held Sept. 25.

The smoking cessation program, Get On The Quitting Road, explores the dangers of smoking and provides information on how to quit this addictive habit.

Presenting the program will be Michael Morris, of the Pfizer Company, which manufacturers Chantix, a medication used to help individuals quit smoking.

In addition to his program, Morris will take time to answer questions.

Three sessions of the same program will be offered.

The educational programs will be held at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and at 6 p.m. in the JCP lower level conference room of Oswego Hospital.

A light meal will be provided at each session.
