Oswego Hospital Maternity Center Receives Blankets Made by Interact Club

OSWEGO – The Oswego High School Interact Club recently delivered handmade blankets to Oswego Health’s Maternity Center that will be given to newborns.

Third row, Lauren DeVinny, McKinley Thompson, Julia May, Lucia Canale and Cynthia Tascarella, who serves as secretary/treasuer of the Oswego Sunrise Rotary Club. In the fourth row, Drake Morgia, Anthony DiBlasi, Nick Victory and Josh Thomas.

The Interact Club is affiliated with the Oswego Sunrise and Oswego Noon Rotary clubs and focuses on community service.

Making the blankets and then delivering them to Oswego Hospital has become a club tradition.

Maternity Center Director Kim Spurling, RN, said the blankets will be very much appreciated by new families and she thanked the students for their creative efforts.

Oswego Health’s maternity center offers families a comfortable and homey environment, featuring attractive private rooms, each with its own bathroom containing a large soaking tub.

This environment is complemented by the latest technology.
