How would you like to fly to anywhere around the world?  See buildings and street scenes in 3D in your home town or far away?  Make travel plans or discover and explore new places from your chair?  Using Google Maps and Google Earth unlocks a whole new world of easy travel planning and exploration of places around the globe.  Sign up for the workshop to learn how to use these free Google tools on Tuesday, August 23 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Oswego Public Library.

Have you ever lost computer files because you don’t know how to back them up?  Bring your laptop to the Public Computing Center for one on one help with resources that best suit your needs for preventing your data from being lost on Tuesday, August 23 from 1:00pm to 3:00 pm.

Are you thinking about buying an eBook and audiobook device?  Do you own a device but don’t know how to use it?  Would you like to learn how to borrow eBooks and audiobooks using the public library’s emedia service?  Examples of some popular devices that are compatible with the library’s emedia service will be explained and instructors will answer any questions you may have.  Bring your device to the workshop for individual help from 10:00 am to noon on Thursday, August 25.

One on one topics for Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs includes topics on Marketing your Small Business Through the Internet and Creating a Website.  This one on one help session focuses on how individuals can effectively promote their small businesses by using the internet.  You will learn about creating your own website, how to use eBay and PayPal and other tips on how to promote your small business.

In addition, the Library is offering “Introduction to Computers,” in 8 sessions on Tuesday and Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm beginning Tuesday, August 2.  Another 8 session course, “Internet Basics,” is offered from 10am to noon Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning August 2.  Keyboarding is offered Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10am to noon beginning August 3.

A Job Club meets on Mondays from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm for people searching for jobs.
