OSWEGO — Are you passionate about libraries and your community? Take the next step—apply to join the Oswego Public Library Board of Trustees! Make a meaningful impact by guiding the library’s future and ensuring it meets everyone’s needs.
To get on the ballot, turn in your signature form with at least 35 valid signatures to the library’s front desk by April 27 at 5 pm. You can pick up a Candidate Signature Form at the library’s main desk or download it from the library’s website.
Trustees are chosen by public vote, held with the Oswego City School District Budget Vote on May 19, 2026. Terms start on July 1, 2026, and last for five years, unless a trustee steps down early. To run, you must be an Oswego City School District resident. The board meets monthly, and each trustee joins a committee.
