Oswego Rotary Club Learns About Mission of Bookmobile

Susan McBrearty, Oswego Bookmobile President, Deana Masuicca and Sabine Ingerson, Rotarians

On September 23 Susan McBrearty, president of Oswego Bookmobile, updated the Oswego Rotary Club on new and exciting things happening with the Bookmobile. Their mission is to empower children to be readers. This is accomplished by providing free age-appropriate books for young people through grade 12 during the summer months.
In 2025 a new bookmobile was purchased. It is accessible, which allows children with mobility issues to enter it and choose their books. Another improvement was the expansion to Hannibal, Fulton, Mexico and Pulaski.
Susan also shared how people can help and/or become involved in the Bookmobile. These include purchasing books on the online wish list, donating used books, becoming a donor and volunteering with Bookmobile. Anyone interested in helping or learning more about Oswego Bookmobile can contact Susan at [email protected] or check out their website at oswegobookmobile.com.
