Oswego Middle School art teacher Linda Shannon said, “There are so many great works of our students and we really want the people of the community to see them. Local businesses have allowed us to place student work in their shops, restaurants and stores. This will be an opportunity for our students’ work to be publicly viewed.”

Recently, work to place the paintings and drawing commenced as the works are now appearing  in a variety of locations.

Teachers have traveled to various sites throughout the district to place their students’ work.

Bethany Burns hung pieces created by students at the Fitzhugh Park Elementary School at the river’s end book store while Laurie Yule took Minetto works to the Oswego Town Hall.

Michelle Scoville of Leighton has their student work at Friendly’s while Chrystal Maxon from Minetto also placed student art at the west side Pathfinder Bank.

Charles E. Riley students’ work was placed by Rebecca Woods at the Oswego Post Office.

Oswego Middle School teachers Shannon and Erin Platten placed the seventh and eighth graders’ works of art at Zonies on West First Street.

Oswego High School work is currently on display at the Coffee Connection on Water Street and at the Education Center.

It is hoped that artwork will be rotated in the months ahead so Oswego School District residents can enjoy some of the creativity of Oswego’s students. missing or outdated ad config
