The concert theme is Oswego Stands Proud, featuring music played during some of America’s most difficult times.

The music will reflect periods in American history when Oswego became the shining star, even leading the way for the rest of America.

Musical pieces such as Summertime, When Johnny Comes Marching Home, Theme from Schlindler’s List and America from West Side Story help celebrate the diversity that is America!

In addition, a special composition by former student, John Chatterton, highlights the talent of students coming out of Oswego and Fulton’s music programs.

The Oswego Community Youth Orchestra seeks to challenge and nurture young area musicians to strive for excellence, to explore their role in humanity, and to contribute beauty to the community, through the study and performance of orchestral music.

The performance is free.

The public is invited to attend.
