Outdoor Deck Going Up At ‘Tavern on the Lock’

Workers move forward on construction of a new, two-tiered deck facing the Oswego River at Tavern on the Lock, 24 S. First St.

“The lower deck (shown here) is 36′ x 40′,” said Don Ryan, co-owner. “The upper deck will be 20′ x 40′ and will feature outdoor bar service. There will be a partial roof built over both levels and we anticipate opening the deck to customers by the end of the first week of August. Our patrons will be able to access the deck from inside the restaurant bar to enjoy a meal or just a drink and the beautiful view,” Ryan said.

The restaurant opened Feb. 19 this year, and future plans call for an 800 sq. ft. addition to the deck in spring 2009. missing or outdated ad config
