OSWEGO, NY – OVIA Insurance Agencies has announced the acquisition of Bartlett’s Insurance Agency, effective January 1, 2015, according to Chuck Harrington, OVIA President.
Bob Bartlett founded Bartlett’s Insurance in Oswego in 1949, and built a reputation for providing a broad line of insurance products and services to their clients.
Susan Bartlett, who is Bob’s daughter-in-law, has operated the business for years and just recently announced her retirement.
She is now working through the end of the year to assist OVIA Insurance Agencies on the transition.
“To ensure continuous and uninterrupted service to the Bartlett’s Insurance Agency customers, I have made provisions with OVIA to continue to service our accounts,” Bartlett said in a letter to her customers. “They have a history in the insurance industry that dates back more than 100 years, and I have every faith that you will find them as attentive to your account as I have been.”

First St. in Oswego will be only a block away from our former Bartlett location, or you can make arrangements to be serviced from any of their other five locations, in Fulton, Phoenix, Mexico, Brewerton or Clayton,” she said.”I would like to thank everyone for the business, confidence and loyalty that you have placed in me over the years.”
