Parish Mayor recognizes Evelyn Newton with Distinguished Service Award

PARISH, NY – At the November meeting of the board of trustees of the Parish Public Library, Mayor Kathryn Perkins presented Evelyn Newton with a Distinguished Service Award as an outstanding officer and member of the board.

Evie has served more than 15 years on the board and will be retiring the end of December.

Karen Oakes has been nominated by the board to succeed her.

The village will vote on her appointment at its December meeting.
