Paul V. Moore High School DECA Students Place at Region 9 Competition 

OSWEGO COUNTY – Students from the Paul V. Moore High School DECA chapter and Central Square Middle School DECA Chapter attended the Region 9 DECA competition on Tuesday, December 16 at LeMoyne College. They competed against approximately 400 students from around the CNY region. We are very pleased to announce that the following students placed in their respective events:

 FIRST PLACE 

Sophia Austin – Food Marketing Series 

Chloe Sheehan – Hotel and Lodging Management Series 

Andrew Landes – Quick Serve Restaurant Management Series 

Averie Sheehan – Restaurant and Food Service Management Series 

Rachel Scharf & Michael Weaver – Business Law & Ethics Team Decision Making 

Cadence Graham & Emma Lacey – Buying & Merchandising Team Decision Making 

SECOND PLACE 

Cee Gibbs – Apparel & Accessories Marketing Series 

Rocco Brancaccio – Entrepreneurship Series 

Emmerson Wolfenden – Hotel and Lodging Management Series 

Danielle Ciccone – Human Resource Management Series 

Breydan Dempster – Principles of Business Management and Administration 

Emma Rubar – Retail Merchandising Series 

We are also pleased to announce that Van Andrews was elected Vice President of Marketing for Region 9 DECA and Cee Gibbs was elected Vice President of Leadership for Region 9 DECA Next, students will be attending the New York State Career Development Conference in Rochester on Wednesday, March 4 – Friday, March 6, 2026. Students that qualified at the regional competition will move on to compete at the state level. If you would like more information on the Paul V.
