OSWEGO COUNTY – Paul V. Moore High School proudly announced the induction of 36 new members into its chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) during a ceremony held last week. The new inductees were recognized for their outstanding achievement in the four pillars of the organization: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character.

The ceremony celebrated the students’ academic excellence and commitment to both the school and the Central Square community. Students inducted into the NHS must demonstrate a cumulative GPA of 85 or higher, and then are evaluated by the chapter’s Faculty Council on their record of service, leadership roles, and personal character.

“These young men and women embody the commitment to excellence that we foster at Central Square,” said Superintendent Thomas Colabufo. “Their induction into the National Honor Society is a testament to their hard work in the classroom and their dedication to improving our community. We are incredibly proud of this group and look forward to their contributions as leaders in their school.”

The newly inducted members join a long tradition of Central Square students dedicated to high academic achievement and active community involvement.
