Pet of the Week – Buddy

Buddy

Buddy

OSWEGO – Buddy is a kitten we rescued from a feral situation back in October with his brothers and sister.

We have spent several months socializing with them and encouraging positive human interactions.

His three siblings are wonderful, playful and friendly.

All ready for their forever homes.

But, what about Buddy?

Buddy is very handsome, but still a scared little boy.

He hides from all human interaction.

He engages with his siblings when humans are not around, but he is just one of the few that have a different set of needs.

What does Buddy need?

Buddy would make a great barn cat – a place where he’ll stay warm and safe, away from scary humans.

Sometimes, cats, and even kittens, from feral environments are just not meant to be cuddly house-pets.

This happens from time to time, but it certainly doesn’t mean Buddy can’t have a safe, warm place to call home.

He is approximately six months old now, up-to-date on vaccines and will be neutered at the end of this month.

If you have a working barn where he could stay while you provide food and water, we could loan you a jumbo dog crate to use while he gets used to his new home.

It takes at least two weeks.

He knows how to use a litter box.

He will help you with rodent control and he will never beg to come in the house.

He needs a home where he can avoid humans and just be a cat.
