The halls echoed with school spirit at G. Ray Bodley last week as students enjoyed Raider Spirit Week.  Monday, September 29th kicked off the event with Favorite Sports Team Day, where students got to show support for their favorite sports team or player. Tuesday, students dressed up as their favorite superhero or villain, for Superhero Day. Costumes ranged from The Hulk to Superman, and some students even made up their own superheroes. Many faculty and staff members also joined in on the fun. Wednesday was Mix and Match Day, and students were able to throw fashion sense out the window, as no mismatch was off limits.

Thursday was Movie Character Day, and students dressed as all sorts of different film characters from anime to the silver screen. Thursday also marked G-Ray Bodley’s hallway decorating contest. The four classes competed to see who could best transform their hallway into a work of art. The senior class was declared this year’s winner at Friday’s pep rally, having blown judges away with their hallway that was clad with balloons, candy, music and a slide-show. Thursday’s events winded down with Open House at 6:30 where parents could tour the school and meet with teachers.

One of main highlights of Spirit Week was Friday, Fulton Pride Day, which gave everyone the chance to show their school spirit. Red, white, and green overflowed from every corner of the school, leading up to their long awaited pep rally. Many paid homage to Fulton by wearing school colors, painting their faces and making signs. Following the parade Friday evening, Fulton won their homecoming football game against the Fowler Falcons. Spirit Week came to a close with G. Ray Bodley’s annual homecoming dance.
