Planning on Track for Fourth Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner

Plans for the Fourth Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner are underway. The free meal will be served at State Street United Methodist Church from noon until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 26, 2009. No reservations are needed.

The dinner is sponsored by several local churches and the Fulton Salvation Army. Volunteers from throughout the community will take part in meal preparations and serving that day. “It is a wonderful community effort,” Muriel Allerton, volunteer coordinator explained. “This is a very giving community.”

Food and products for the dinner are all provided by local companies and organizations. This year’s partners include Plainville Turkey Farm, Birdseye Foods, Mimi’s Restaurant, Sysco, Hudson’s, Struppler’s, Walmart and Price Chopper. Volunteers that want to help at the dinner may call (315) 592-5162.
