Players Seeking Cast Members For Summer Park Productions

OSWEGO – Have you ever thought of playing a unicorn? A dragon? A wizard? Or even Mother Nature?

Here is your chance to take part in the Oswego Player’s summer theater program.

Auditions for the roles will be held in the Frances Marion Brown Theater in the Oswego Civic Arts Center on June 11 from 10 to 11 a.m.

The play has been written and will be directed by Rick Sivers.

Auditions for parts is open to all persons interested.

There are parts for two adult males, one adult female and a variety of parts for male and female youths in middle or high school.

Many of the roles are those of animals with actors wearing full head masks and using mics to be heard.

The play, “Trouble In the Magic Wood” will be presented on four dates, July 3 inside Fort Ontario; July 19 in Central Square and July 26 in Palermo and finally on August 21 at the Oswego County Historical Society’s Family Fun Day.

Transportation to sites out of Oswego will be provided.

The first performance on July 3, will be part of the Independence Day Celebration and will take place at 6 p.m. inside Fort Ontario following the picnic and before the other evening activities and fireworks.
