Daniel P. Larson, D.M.A., president of Cayuga Community College (CCC), was the guest speaker at the May 10 Fulton Lions Club meeting and the club inducted David Abrams as its newest member, said James Sokolowski, club president.
Dr. Larson addressed the history of CCC, its range of courses and degrees, growing enrollment and progress on construction of the new Fulton Branch campus at River Glen Plaza on Rt. 481. Construction should be substantially completed by mid-July this year and the college’s transition from the current W. Broadway location to River Glen is tentatively scheduled for mid-August, he said.Dr. Larson also discussed the popularity of CCC’s courses on entrepreneurship, workforce development support, and the establishment of an international studies program in India. David Abrams was inducted into the club and sponsored by Past President Fred Aldrich. Past President Leo Chirello conducted the induction ceremony. Abrams lives in Fulton with his wife and three children and is employed by Golden Sun Bus Co.
