Prolific Local Author Talks About His Writings At Fulton Sunrise Rotary

Fulton Sunrise Rotarians welcomed Herb Jerred of Fulton, author of eight books, including “88 Steps,” about the Jewish refugees housed at Fort Ontario during World War II and “Birdy,” a history of Fulton in novel form. Jerred said his books grew out of a love of reading, writing and history. Jerred is shown with Sunrise Rotary Club President Marianne Ingerson, who is at left, and his wife, Rotarian Cindy Jerred, at right with a selection of his books. Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 a.m. at Mimi’s Drive-In and can be followed at https://www.facebook.com/fultonsunriserotaryclub/.
