Throughout February, the Oswego Public Library Public Computing Center will provide free workshops aimed to strengthen computer skills for job seekers and small businesses.
The February schedule of career enhancement classes includes:
February 2 – Facebook for Business 10 a.m. – noon
February 5 – Microsoft Word: Functions for Small Business 10 a.m. – noon
February 7 – Practicing Microsoft Word 10 a.m. – noon
February 9 – Microsoft Publisher 2010 10 a.m. – noon
February 12 – Microsoft Powerpoint 10 a.m. – noon
February 14 – Google Docs 10 a.m. – noon
February 16 – Online Applications 1 – 3 p.m.
February 19 – Intro to Excel 10 a.m. – noon
February 21 – Practicing Microsoft Excel 10 a.m. – noon
February 26 – Linked In 10 a.m. – noon
February 28 – Dropbox 10 a.m. – noon
Job seekers can also receive help preparing resumes, cover letters and online job applications at the Job Hunting Lab every Monday from 1:30-4:30 p.m.
This lab is available by appointment only, so be sure to register in advance at 341-5867.
The Public Computing Center is located on the lower level of the Oswego Public Library, and is open Monday-Saturday.
All programs are free and open to the public.
