Pulaski Historical Society Lunch Slated

PULASKI – The Pulaski Historical Society will hold the next in this year’s series of Brown Bag Lunches on Aug. 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The meeting is free and open to the public.

You are invited to bring your lunch (or pick up some take-out at a local eatery) and come join us in the Carriage House at the Pulaski Historical Society.

Take time to talk with your coworkers and neighbors, and perhaps make new friends.

Coffee, tea or water will be provided.

For our August Brown Bag Lunch, Dave Mahaffy will give a presentation, “Dam the Salmon River!”

He will talk about the history of the dams that were in Pulaski, where they were, their names and their purpose.

There will also be some old photos of the dams, to help you visualize them.

The Pulaski Historical Society is located at 3428 Maple Ave., across from Mavis Tire/Cole Muffler in the village.

The museum is open in August from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

Come for free guided tours.

Volunteers are also available to help with research and questions at the regular work sessions on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

For more information, call the museum at 315-298-4650, e-mail [email protected], or visit www.pulaskihistoricalsociety.org for a calendar of events, volunteer opportunities, services available and more.
