“I definitely learned how to be professional in business situations, how to be thorough and how to be prepared,” said Nutting.

Nutting worked on a community engagement plan by speaking with community leaders about their perceptions of the Fulton Companies.

From there, she worked to obtain a Kallet Theater advertisement on the marquee as a thank you to the community for their support of the company.

Vice president of sales and marketing Joel Southwell says that the Fulton Companies is committed to the community.

“We are looking to show students that there are career opportunities locally,” he said.

Southwell also said that he wants students to realize that what they learn in high school is not just busy work; it can be applied to a career.

Pulaski students Leonard Spano and Brett Nielson also interned with the Fulton Companies this year, both studied computer-aided design.

Two welding interns, Konor Richardson-Sanderson and Marshall Simmonds, are also currently shadowing as welding interns.
