OSWEGO, NY – Step One Creative, an Oswego-based advertising design and public relations firm has announced that Oswego native Rachael Purtell has joined the agency as a winter intern, according to President Shane R. Stepien.
Purtell is a sophomore at SUNY New Paltz with a double major in communications, with a concentration in public relations and psychology, and a minor in computer science.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to use my intercession productively,” Purtell said. “I am confident that what I will learn here will further me in both my academic studies and my career as a whole.”
In addition to the internship, Purtell is a two-sport athlete at SUNY New Paltz, the News Editor at The New Paltz Oracle and has made the Dean’s list for three consecutive semesters.
“We were familiar with Rachael’s work from the Oswego High School through her experience on The Buccaneer Bulletin,” said Stepien. “We look forward to using her as an asset during her internship, and providing her with valuable agency experience.”
