Red Cross Names August Volunteer Of The Month

OSWEGO, NY – The American Red Cross recently announced that Gary Fulsaas has been chosen as the Volunteer of the Month for August 2008.

Gary has been a volunteer Health and Safety instructor for the Red Cross for more than 10 years.

Gary teaches various CRP/AED and First Aid courses on both the professional and lay responder levels.

Gary is also an athletic trainer at SUNY Oswego where he teaches courses in Health Science and Wellness Management.

In spite of his busy schedule with SUNY Oswego he is always willing to teach a Red Cross community class when needed and even finds time to help out as a mentor for new Red Cross instructors.

The Volunteer of the Month program is sponsored by Dunkin Donuts.

Each month the chosen volunteer is awarded a $25 gift card from Dunkin Donuts as a token of appreciation for their efforts.

Volunteers are an essential part of the American Red Cross and we are truly appreciative of the volunteers we have.

The Red Cross is always in need of volunteers.
