Red Cross Offers Unique Idea For Baby Shower Gift

OSWEGO, NY – Are you having trouble thinking of a baby shower gift?  Does the new mom-to-be have everything you think she needs?

The American Red Cross has a unique gift idea that will be appreciated by any new parent(s).

The Red Cross offers an Infant and Child CPR/AED class that prepares new parents to respond to emergencies with their new family member.

Many in the medical profession are recommending infant and child CPR training to their patients in order to prepare them for a possible emergency.

Gift certificates are available for moms, dads and even grandparents-to-be. What a perfect and unique gift.

Participants will learn to overcome any reluctance to act in an emergency situation as well as recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in children.

Participants will also learn to use an automated external defibrillator with pediatric AED pads on children less than 55 pounds.

The Onondaga-Oswego Chapter of the American Red Cross will be holding an Infant and Child CPR/AED class on Sept. 11 from 5:30 – 10:30 p.m.

The class will be held at the Oswego branch office, 333 W. First St.
