Registration Now Open for 25th Annual 5K Cider Run/Walk

MEXICO – The Mexico Public Library will sponsor the 25th Annual 5K Cider Run and Walk and a fun run on  September 19 at Mexico High School.

All events start on the high school athletic fields.

The fun run begins at 8:30 a.m. on the high school track and the 5K Cider Run/Walk begins at 9 a.m. on Liberty Street.

The first 150 registrants for the 5K run/walk will receive a free long-sleeved T-shirt, designed especially for the 25th Cider Run by Custom Novelty Prints.

Returning corporate sponsors include Entergy Nuclear Northeast; TOPS Friendly Markets; Key Bank; Oswego County Federal Credit Union; Agency Specialists Insurance; Land & Trust Realty; Stefano’s Pizzeria; Pathfinder Bank; ProBuild; Custom Novelty Prints; The EyeCare Center of Mexico; Ye Olde Hair Shoppe; Paulanjo’s Pizza; Colleen Ruby; Mexico Chamber of Commerce;  Kowalski Construction; Village Family Care of Baldwinsville; The Eis House; Pemberton Associates; and David Anderson, CPA. Again this year, AuyerTiming will provide timing and scoring for the 5K run and walk.

AuyerTiming provides electronic timing services for many local and regional road, cross-country, cycling and snowshoeing races during the year, including races in Lake Placid, Utica, Syracuse and Auburn.

The Cider Run winds its way through the picturesque streets of the village of Mexico and has become a popular running event for all ages.

More than 200 runners and walkers participated in this race in 2014.
