OSWEGO – There will be a Relay For Life of Oswego-Fulton kickoff celebration Tuesday, March 27, at Vona’s Restaurant in Oswego.
“We’re off to great places
Join us you may
Time flies quickly, don’t delay
Come see, learn and share
We know how much you care
We will win, we will fight.”
The event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Vona’s, 9 Willow St.
There will be food, information tables, fundraising ideas and more.
Participants will be able to meet the planning committee, mingle with past participants, learn about the event and the Dr. Seuss theme.
Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
Relay is staffed and coordinated by volunteers in thousands of communities and 27 countries.
Volunteers give of their time and effort because they believe it’s time to take action against cancer.
Relay For Life is a chance for our community to recognize and celebrate those who have overcome cancer or are undergoing treatment, as well as the people who care for them.
Relay also provides an opportunity to celebrate the memory of loved ones lost to cancer.
Each person who joins Relay For Life can take pride in knowing that they are working towards creating a world free from the pain and suffering of this disease.
The Relay For Life of Oswego Fulton will be held on June 8 at the Joe Wilber Field of the Oswego City School District again this year.
