OSWEGO, NY – The King of Rock and Roll was discovered alive and well at the Oswego High School class of 1958’s 55th reunion held recently.

The two-day event kicked off Friday night with an ice breaker at Vona’s Restaurant.
As the classmates gathered Saturday night at the 1881 Steakhouse for dinner and mingling, they were treated to a visit by Elvis himself (Tom Gilbo).
Still able to execute his signature moves, he performed a variety of his top hits such as “Love Me Tender” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” ending the evening with “Amazing Grace” and a standing ovation.
“We were transported back to our high school days in the ’50s with Elvis,” Sharon Johnson said. “We threw our cares away and felt young again.”
“It was great seeing everyone again and it made us feel young at heart,” JoAnn Cloonan added. “Everyone enjoyed reminiscing and stayed even after Elvis left the building.”
