A member of the NYS Broadcasters Hall of Fame, Gary currently broadcasts on SUNNY 102.1 in Syracuse and has been a part of the Central New York media scene for almost 40 years.

An avid biker, and past honorary co-chair of The Children’s Miracle Ride for benefit of the Golisano Children’s Hospital, Gary is excited to be a part of the CAC’s Blue Ribbon Ride Against Child Abuse.

“I am happy to support the efforts of the CAC of Oswego County. Children need to feel safe in this world and have a place they can count on when they’re not. The Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County provides a much needed service. The Blue Ribbon Ride Against Child Abuse helps to fulfill some of the funding necessary to keep this child friendly service in operation,” he said.

Scheduled for Sept. 11, rain or shine, the ride is a 60-mile motorcycle ride that will wind throughout Oswego County.

According to executive director of the CAC Karrie Damm the ride will be a special event that bikers are sure to enjoy.

“Our planning committee has put together an exciting day that not only includes a scenic ride, but also a tasty barbecue following the ride hosted by Sweet Inspirations Drive-In, Route 3 in Fulton. There will also be a variety of raffles as well as some great entertainment,” she said.

Money raised during the event will be used to benefit the CAC, a non-profit organization that works hand-in-hand with local law enforcement, prosecution, child protective services, medical providers, therapy providers, and victim advocacy professionals in Oswego County to protect and serve child victims of sexual and physical abuse.

“It is every community’s obligation to help keep all children safe from harm. I hope to see hundreds of bikers and supporters at the CAC’s Blue Ribbon Ride Against Child Abuse on Sept. 11,” added Gary.
