OSWEGO, NY – On Thursday, Aug. 7, Robert Genant, candidate for Oswego County Court Judge spoke to the Oswego Sunrise Rotary Club.
Attorney Genant is a graduate of Syracuse Law School who has practiced law for more than 30 years.
He is currently serving his second term as a part-time assistant district attorney and has a private practice in Parish.
He explained his understanding of the role of an attorney as one who makes everyone follow the rules.
He compared the role of a judge to the 4-Way Test of Rotary: 1 – Is it the truth? 2 – Is it fair to all concerned? 3 – Will it build good will and better friendships? 4 – Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Genant believes that these rules apply to a judge in a fair court setting.
