OSWEGO – Coming off two consecutive winning seasons, Port City Roller Derby is recruiting skaters, refs and other volunteers looking for fun, fitness and friendships in this growing sport.

An open house and recruitment will take place at 7 p.m. Jan. 24, at the league’s practice facility in Oswego’s Midtown Plaza. The league is recruiting for both its adult league (18 and over) and juniors league (ages 10 to 17).
Port City Roller Derby is run by Oz Roller Girls Inc., a non-profit organization that also supports a number of community causes while providing athletic competition and entertaining bouts.
The recruitment will include derby demonstrations, the benefits of playing the sport and more information on how to get involved.
The league will provide training for anyone interested in joining.
