FULTON, NY – At a recent Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Dennis Goss introduced Jillian Pelkey from the Oswego County Pregnancy Care Center.

She told about the center which deals with families in poverty, both situational (one-time) and generational (follows families).
Generational poverty is where they can help the most through mentorship.
They have an “Earn While You Learn” program where the parents can earn money to purchase needed items.
The center gives free confidential pregnancy tests and advises girls on their options and also sponsors a prevention program for eighth graders in some of the Oswego County school districts.
