OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego Salvation Army is hosting the final Guest Chef Dinner of the year on Dec. 1 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
The Army’s famous “Roast Beef Dinner” will be served by the Mystery Chefs behind the Salvation Army curtain.
The public is invited to take a break from holiday shopping to meet the Mystery Chefs and to sit down and enjoy a delicious meal at the newly renovated Army facility at 73 W. Second St.
Take-out meals are also available for diners’ convenience.
The Mystery Chefs are “seen” behind their assistants: Paul Santore, newly elected advisory board chair; Queenie O’Neil Sands, advisory board member; and Captain Ken Hayes and Major Corrine Hayes.
The dinner event has become a popular fund-raising effort for the community and Army volunteers.
Each year, a special roast beef dinner is served.
The funds help support the operations of the local Citidal.
“This year the need is great.” noted Santore.
Dinner tickets are $8.50 each, $5 for ages 6-12 and children under 5 years old are free.
