SANDY CREEK – The Sandy Creek Central School District is looking to stock the Comet’s Closet before a major clothing giveaway which is scheduled to coincide with the school supply distribution event on August 21.
Donations of clean, gently used clothing in all sizes can be dropped off at the high school office or district office during the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday from now until August 21.
There is an especially high need for children and teen clothing.
The clothing will be available to families during the annual school supply distribution giveaway on August 21 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Sandy Creek Elementary School.
Organizers of the clothing giveaway are seeking volunteers to assist with the event by sorting, organizing and assisting families in shopping that day.
Student or adult volunteers can contact Alex Hager at [email protected] to sign up to help.
Student volunteers can earn community service hours for their participation.
