Sandy Creek Students Learn What It Takes To Work In Sciences

SANDY CREEK – Students at Sandy Creek High School interested in pursuing a post-secondary education and career in a science-related field were recently afforded an opportunity to learn more about what it takes to make their dreams a reality.

A handful of Sandy Creek High School students recently met with alumnus with a background in a science-related field to discuss what it takes to obtain a degree and career in the sciences. Pictured, current students, alumni and science teachers are all smile prior to the meeting.

Five alumni from Sandy Creek Central School District, all of whom have an affiliation with the sciences, recently met with more than a dozen high school students to discuss what it takes to work in one of the branches of science.

Former SCCS students Izzy Bray, Rachel Yerden, Sharron Garvin and Collin Reff and Amy Stitt discussed the hard work, dedication and commitment it takes to earning a degree and start a career in the sciences.
