Santore Seeks Reelection To Legislature

OSWEGO, NY – County Legislator Paul Santore is proud to announce his candidacy for reelection to the Oswego County Legislature.

He is legislator for the 16th District, in the city of Oswego representing the First Ward and sections of the Third and Fifth wards.

Paul is endorsed by the Republican and Independence parties.

Legislator Santore is grateful to his constituents for his terms in office.  He has been very active in the Legislature serving on two committees and several boards of directors and councils.

Paul’s committee assignments include Finance and Personnel and Public Safety and Emergency Services which he chairs. He is dedicated to protecting the vulnerable in our community such as the elderly, youth and our veterans.

“As your Legislator and neighbor, I am committed to serving all the people of Oswego city and county, providing an atmosphere that encourages economic development and tax stabilization while remaining accessible to all of my constituents,” he said.

Paul feels Oswego County is a great place in which to live and work.

He is committed to streamlining our county government and looking for Green initiatives while maintaining essential services.

“We must continue to minimize the cost of services provided by the county and yet deliver them at the highest possible level of quality,” he said.

Santore cites his extensive background and experience in management and his active involvement in the community.

His involvement in the community includes seats on the boards of directors of the Salvation Army Advisory, Oswego Harborfest, Oswego County Opportunities and the Oswego County Veterans Museum and Heritage Center.

He also serves on the Oswego County Opportunities Senior Services Division Advisory Council, ARISE, the Oswego County Fair Housing Council and the Oswego County Citizens Brownfield Advisory Group.

Legislator Santore is a retired manager from General Electric and is a veteran of the United States Army honorably discharged with the rank of E-5.

Legislator Santore resides at 61 W. Third St. in the city of Oswego with his wife, Judy, and granddaughter, Chris.

They are communicants of Saint Mary’s Church and they have four grown children and eight grandchildren.

He is a graduate of local schools and is a certified Quality Facilitator.
