Fairgrieve Elementary recently honored several school citizens for exhibiting self-control throughout the month of April.

The Virtue of the Month recognition was awarded during a Morning Express program, where Principal Jean Sampsell encouraged the entire student body to reach out to the awardees for advice if self-control is an area they have struggled with.
Each recipient, she said, has been a shining example of self-control in their classroom, hallways and other locations throughout the building.
For their efforts, the students received a “brag tag” to add to their collection and applause from their peers, teachers and special guests.
Self-control awardees in the front row, from left, are: Alyssa Sullivan, Tristan Wiebezahl, Harper Chetney, Carter Anderson, Leland Guillaume, Ava Corradino and Andrew Rando.
In the middle, from left, are: Mazam Harrington, Malayah McCloud, Isaiah Pitcher, Allison Treneer, Elijah Brooks, Dylan Mann, Olivia Gonzalez and Gage Brown.
In back, from left, are Principal Sampsell and students: Alexa Walberger, Natasha Carpenter, Kenadie Shatraw, Ciara Dillingham, Hunter Devore and William Duso.
Absent are Aurielle Snyder and Selia Clark.
