Working in conjunction with United Way of Greater Oswego County, the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce, Oswego County Workforce New York and the SUNY Oswego Office of Business and Community Relations, Senator Ritchie has planned an event that will offer community members the opportunity to meet with representatives from the human resources departments of some of the county’s largest employers, as well as representatives from area non-profit organizations that will provide information on the various programs that are available to assist families and individuals within Oswego County.

Representatives from Cayuga Community College will also be on hand to discuss education opportunities offered at their Fulton campus.

“With our unemployment rate nearing record levels, I am hoping we can work together with employers and human service agencies from across the region to provide opportunities to our many families who are wondering what their future holds. Our proposed Career and Resource Expo should provide critical information to help them plan for their future,” said Senator Ritchie.

Scheduled for June 9 from 2 – 6 p.m., the expo will be held at the Fulton War Memorial, West Broadway.

According to members of the planning committee the expo will be a must attend event that will provide attendees with valuable information that may have a profoundly positive effect on the employment picture and the quality of life in Oswego County.
