Senior Camp Committee Meeting Set March 18

OSWEGO — The Camp Hollis Senior Camp Planning Committee will meet at 2 p.m. Monday, March 18 in the conference room of the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau offices, Bunner Street.

Camp Hollis Senior Camp has been serving residents of the Oswego County area for 26 years.

Volunteers plan and organize the June and September one-day retreat each year.

These volunteers would like to welcome new recruits to attend Monday’s meeting to offer their input and help in preparing for this year’s senior camp.

Contact Sandy Davis for more information.

Davis points out that this is the time for folks 50 years young and older to mark their calendars and plan on taking part in the 2019 Senior Camp events at Camp Hollis.

Dates for the full-day retreats this year are Monday, June 10 and Monday, September 9.

The theme chosen for this year is “The Time of My Life.”

Camp Hollis, a gem in Oswego County, sports 12 small cabins, a large recreation and dining building, a craft cabin, a large pavilion, spacious fields and inviting nature trails.

Camp Hollis is located along the southern shores of Great Lake Ontario in Oswego Town.

Many seniors attend year after year and look forward to Senior Camp at Camp Hollis.

Veterans and newcomers alike cherish this time together.

Programming again this year will include special health and nature related activities, challenging games, joyous sing-alongs, and, fun arts and crafts.

Nutritious delicious food, beverages and snacks are provided, too.
