A group of nine John C. Birdlebough High School students recently competed in the pageant-style competition in hopes of being crowned Mr. Phoenix 2015.

The competition, which asked contestants to showcase a talent and interview skills, produced plenty of laughter for those in attendance.
With a combination of intelligence, humor and elegance, senior Wyatt Parker was awarded the title of Mr. Phoenix.
Junior Derick White finished as the runner-up.
Junior Michael Sadoski, senior Alex Toole and freshman Larry Pilon rounding out the top five.

The contestants were judged by a four-person panel – Jenn Epolito, Tim Fredenburg, Rick Heffernan and Angie Neiss – that scored each participant on a variety of factors.
Each participant was able to captivate the audience during the talent portion of the contest, with participants performing a variety of acts.
The acts included singing, dancing, playing a musical instrument and performing comedic skits.
