Seniors Enjoy Lunch, Book Reading

Submitted article </p>

Parish’s past came alive with the reading of Kay Perham’s “Pioneer Women” to the delight of those enjoying lunch and conversation at the OCO Senior Nutrition Services: Parish Dining and Activity Center on Monday, July 21.

The Parish site was closed for several months, but has reopened at the Parish-Hastings Presbyterian Church annex, 814 Rider Street.  The site is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.

Those 60 years or more are encouraged, by temporary site manager, Mary Lou Guindon, to join in the variety of activities offered, healthy meals, and great conversation.  Why stay home alone, when you can visit with your neighbors.   There will be guest speakers, health presentations, blood pressure checks, “Warm-Up and Balance” exercises, wii bowling, popular games and cards offered each month.  To see the calendar of events go to http://parishhastingspres.parishcommunityrec.com/OCOSeniorNutrition.htm
