Skills For Learning Awards Given At Granby Elementary

GRANBY – Granby Elementary students were recently honored for exhibiting the skills to succeed in school.

During a school-wide assembly, 44 students received Skills for Learning awards, which recognized the youngsters for all of their academic efforts throughout the month of October.

For their efforts, students received a certificate and their Granby Learning League membership card at the GLL monthly induction ceremony.

As each name was called, awardees’ classmates, teachers and guests cheered and applauded their achievements.

Granby music teacher Stephany Collins reminded the student body about the superhero characters related to each learning skill the children have worked on since the beginning of the 2017-18 school year.

GLL new members are: Isabella Anelli, Shantavia Bardin, Hannah Bell, Domique Bentley, Tanner Bryerton, Georgina Burch, Alexis Bush, Adrian Carr, Ian Clark, Addisyn Coffey, Brayden Colon, Raylan Cooper, Skylyn Crandall, Jackson Dopp, Connor Draper, Gabriela Farnham, Natalie Frost, Elijah Graham, Zachary Hammond, Dante Heaney, Elliana Hotchkiss, Morgan Ingison, Eli Johnson, Cameron Kingsely, Aiden LaBreck, Madison McCarty-Castillo, Ricardo Mejia-Meridia, Daniela Mendez-Rodriguez, Jordynn Miller, Wafaa Mohamed, Bracyn Ormsby, Devin Patchen, Emma Perkins, Jahsalyn Rodriguez, Kayla Rodriguez-Barrios, Liam Scanlon, Adam Sharkey, Abigail Somers, Logan Somers, Grant Standish, Josie Valenzuela, Marco Velasquez, Maddison Weldin and Natalie Weldin.
