PULASKI, NY –  The Salmon River Fine Arts Center announces the opening of “Paintings, Weavings and Wood,” a special art exhibition starting March 9 and running through April 8. The show features the work of three local artists who draw inspiration from their love of nature.

Rebecca Moshaty from Auburn, NY will show her colorful and engaging mixed media paintings. Her work has been displayed at several central New York  galleries, with recent solo shows at Rome Community Art Center and Epicuse in Syracuse.

Fiber artist Barbara Golden from Hastings, NY weaves tapestry from a large loom that is the centerpiece of her home. Barbara has exhibited functional and wall art tapestries in various local shows over the past 30 years.

Joanne Henry is an artist from Oswego who is known for her imaginative driftwood sculptures that are assembled and arranged to evoke whatever creature or scene that her collected treasures inspire.

“Together this body of work is all at once a splash of vibrant color balanced and woven together with the organic lines and quieter colors of nature inspiring and connecting,” says Ann Buchau, curator of the show and president. “This show is a must see and will only be up for one month. Plan your visit and allow the exhibit to take you away from your day to day ‘busy-ness’ and see the world through the eyes of these artists.”
