OSWEGO COUNTY – A lifelong Oswego County resident, Hannibal High School graduate, and Ithaca College alum, Spencer Mattice joins United Way of Greater Oswego County with a passion for relationship building and serving the community that has always been home. Throughout her career in communications and marketing she has focused on helping organizations connect with people in meaningful ways while highlighting the individuals, businesses and moments that make a community stronger.
Before joining United Way, Spencer worked in marketing and digital communications for the Great New York State Fair, where she led the social media strategy, assisted with statewide campaigns, and helped share the stories of the farmers behind New York Agriculture, local businesses, and community traditions.
In her role with United Way of Greater Oswego County, Mattice will lead resource development efforts, workplace campaigns, donor engagement, marketing, and community outreach. As Resource Development & Marketing Manager her role is centered on connecting people with opportunities to make a difference and ensuring local programs have the support they need to continue changing lives.
“Oswego County isn’t just where I live—it’s home. It’s where I grew up, where my family has deep roots, and where I hope my own children experience the same sense of community that shaped me,” said Spencer. “I’ve always believed that the greatest impact we can make isn’t measured by titles or recognition—it’s measured by how we show up for one another. If you’re a business owner, nonprofit, volunteer, donor, or someone who simply wants to learn more about United Way, I’d love to connect. Whether you have questions, ideas, or just want to introduce yourself, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You can contact me at 315-593-1900 ext. 2 or by email at [email protected]. My door is always open, and I can’t wait to meet the people who make Oswego County such an incredible place to call home.”
“We’re thrilled to welcome Spencer to the United Way family,” said Executive Director Patrick Dewine “Her creativity, passion for people, and deep connection to Oswego County make her a wonderful addition to our team. We know she will help strengthen the relationships that make our mission possible.”
