Spicer Runner-Up In Shakespeare Competition

OSWEGO, NY – Each year the Oswego High School Drama Club conducts its annual Shakespeare Competition, which was sponsored by The English- Speaking Union of the United States.

The students perform a number of monologues to an intimate audience and an invited panel of judges.

Current members who participated in this event included Taylor Braun, Courtney Gazda, Raquelle Moreau, Terilyn Posposel, John Samson, Hailey Thompson and Tyler Spicer.

The judges for this competition were. Kurt Phaneuf and Heidi Sheffield from Oswego High School and Dr. Patrick Murphy from SUNY Oswego.

OHS senior Tyler Spicer won the competition with a selection from Romeo and Juliet.

John Samson was chosen as the alternate and Courtney Gazda and Raquelle Moreau received an Honorable Mention Award.

Spicer recently traveled to Syracuse to compete in the ESU Branch Competition against other area high schools and achieved a second place finish. missing or outdated ad config
